CAMP SELHOWTKAN “Girl Guides of Canada”
Sep 3 – 6, 2010
The Beaver Canoe club is organizing this Recreation Canoe Association
of BC (RCABC) event to promote canoeing in BC and facilitate networking
between the member clubs.
The site is located on Adams Lake, approximately
90 minutes East of Kamloops close to the Shuswap Lake area. The camp
is rustic with outhouses
but no electricity, and kitchens that have propane appliances. There
are four group “tent” camping sites to accommodate up to
100 people. Cars can park by the campsites. No camping on the beach.
Trailers are allowed but must park up on top in the residential area
away form the group tenting area. Dogs are not encouraged. Water is not
monitored for drinking quality so people should bring their own drinking
water.
